  Note	Was a tanner and 'gent.'. Originally from Salisbury, Eng. The record states he embarked at Southampton, Eng.,1638, aged 37, with wife Ann, 32, sister Dorothy 20, and five children under 10 years old. (This would mean that he was born in 1601 and she in 1606. Yet the marriage record makes them both 26 in 1629. Her age given in her will also makes her born in 1603). Christopher became a freeman in 1639. Was one of the original twelve grantees of Salisbury. He received land there in the 1st division, 1640 and 1642. In 1650 he sold his house to Isaac and William Buswell and removed to Boston in 1654 where he was accidentally shot by his own son. He represented Salisbury in the General Court in 1640, '41,'43, and '50. Will dated 1656, proved 19 Sep 1661. Ref: DWH 59/60
