Emerson Edward Palmer Will



Last Will and Testament
I, EMERSON E. PALMER, of the town of Bethlehem, in the county of Albany and State of New York being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last WILL and TESTAMENT, in manner following that is to say:

FIRST. I give the following legacies: Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) to my daughter ELVIRA M. HEATH of Glenmont; $300 to my daughter MABEL L. GALLUP of Glenmont. Said sums shall be paid one year after my death.

SECOND. All the rest of my property both real and personal I give and devise to my son, EMERSON E. PALMER.

THIRD. I give my executor full power and authority to sell my real estate.

LASTLY I hereby appoint my son EMERSON E. PALMER to be executor of this, my last Will and Testament: hereby revoking all select former wills by me made.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed to my name the 23rd day of October in the year Nineteen Hundred and Thirty-one.

We, whose names are hereto subscribed DO CERTIFY that on the 23rd day of October 1931, EMERSON E. PALMER, the testator above named, subscribed his name to this instrument in our presence and in the presence of each of us, and at the same time, in our presence and hearing, declared he same to be his last Will and Testament, and requested, usand each of us, to sign our names thereto as witnesses to the execution thereof, which we hereby do in the presence of the testator and of each other, on the day of the date of the said Will, and right opposite our names our respective places of residence.

I, Emerson E. Palmer, of the town of Bethlehem, County of Albany and State of New York, having heretofore made and executed my last Will and Testament which bears date of the 23rd day of October, 1931 now desire to and do hereby make, ordain, publish and declare this to be a codicil thereto, that is to say:

I do hereby ratify and confirm said Will and all respects to except that it is my will that the legacies and each of them bequeathed by the first paragraph thereof be reduced from the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) as therein stated to the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) .

In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 27th day of June, Nineteen Hundrend Thirty-two (1932).

The foregoing instrument was on this twenty-seventh day of June, Nineteen Hundred Thirty-two (1932) signed, sealed, published and declared by Emerson E. Palmer as it and for a codicil to his last Will and Testament bearing date the 23rd day of October, Nineteen Hundred he Thirty-one (1931) in the presence of us and each of us and we, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
